If you are interested in obtaining a Concealed Handgun License
(CHL) and meet the Minimum Eligibility Requirements, keep
reading!  We strongly believe you should exercise your right to
keep and bear arms as established in the Second Amendment of
the U.S. Constitution.  After several years of "red tape" following
the horrific Luby's incident in October of 1991, we finally received
the ability to carry a firearm in a public forum as of January 1, 1996.
 Prior to this enactment, Texas citizens could only exercise their
Second Amendment rights in their home.

Are you ready for this responsibility?  Possessing a CHL is a REAL
decision to make and comes with a responsibility which should not
be taken lightly.  You may wish to carry a handgun for a variety of
reasons.  Whether it is to protect you, your family, or others; we
invite you to learn everything you need to know to take on this
responsibility.

What do I need to know?  Alamo Concealed Handgun provides you
with the necessary knowledge and training.  Our class exceeds the
minimum requirements mandated by the State Department of
Public Safety.  You will become versed with Chapter 9 of the Texas
Penal Code among many other topics.  Don't worry, you don't have
to be an attorney to know Texas Penal Code.  You are not required
to be an expert of the law - only a responsible citizen who knows
his/her responsibilities and boundaries.  You will also gain a solid
foundation in the safe handling and storage of your firearm(s) as
well as firearm maintenance.  You will also qualify on the range
demonstrating proficiency with a firearm.

Beyond this, we offer Advanced Tactical Shooting Classes.  If you
have previous shooting experience, but would like to gain essential
knowledge and training to defend yourself in the more "heated"
situations (for now, we'll leave that up to your imagination), send us
your inquiry and we'll arrange a personal class.
